Beading with my cousin !

Hi !
It is Saige here !

I had to leave camp to go visit  my family in Europe !
I stayed at my cousin Amélie 's house !

Amelie is a pioneer and we had tons of fun !
She even lent me one of her outfits and mom made a photoshoot on her
cannel.

Anyways ...
 Amélie told me one of her favorite hobbies to do when it rained ( it rained a lot when we went to Europe ) was beading

So we went upstairs and she took out all of her beading supplies !
She had tons of beads.

What if we make a bracelet for your new sister you are picking up in Atlanta?" She asked .

"Good idea ! "I said .

We started organizing  the beads and finding colors that would look good together.

"Here are some pretty colorful ones!" I said as I handed her a packet of colorful beads.

 

" Hey ! Saige look at these ones ! "

 

"Aren't they beautiful ?" she asked . " I got them for my birthday !"

 

                                 " Wow !" I said " You should definitely use them ."

 " Okay, lets start  by laying some on the floor so we can decide  which  pattern we use ."

We both startedto scramble through the beads and making up patterns .

" Oh , those are so pretty !" Amélie

exclaimed as she looked at the beads I had  in my hand.

 

We had  seven patterns for bracelets . So many to choose  from , I didn't know what to pick !

 "Let's start beading !" Amelie said as she took a piece of elastic cord .

 

  After a while of fideling with beads , stringing them on a string and we were done!
"Look at mine ! "Amelie said as she handed me the bracelet she made" Do you like it ?"

                                      "Wow! it is super pretty "I said " She will love it !"

"Here ! I have something for you" I said as I gave her  the bracelet I made with the beads she liked.

 

"Thank you so much Saige ! "

 

       " I love it !"she said as she tried on the bracelet "I have something for you too"

"I made this doilly with my mom and I wanted to give it to you !"

" thank you  A mélie it is so cool !"

I am going to miss you Amelie ! " I said

"Me too , but  I will see you soon and plus we had an awesome time together , dresssing up and playing outside !"

" yeah " I said as we gave eachother a big hug. " I had tons of fun !

Repurposed doll flower pens

Here is an easy way to make stylish flower pen for your dolls.

Materials:



~Glue gun
~ Fabric flowers ( I got mine from a  flower garland)
~clear elastics
~ tooth pick or kabob sticks for the 'pen' (I am using a broken piece of a dart)

First you are going to poke a hole in the flower and make it large enough for the 'pen' to fit in it

 

Then add some hot glue and stick the 'pen' through the hole then add more glue (for both flowers)

Pinch the flowers to make them look like a rose .

Then tie your elastic to hold it in place.

and you are done !
